This policy explains what data is collected, why, and how it is protected when you use theRoam mobile app and website.

Data we collect

  • Account information: your email address or Google sign-in details when you register. Authentication runs on Supabase.
  • Location data: used only while the app is open, to show nearby quests and verify check-ins. Your location history is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.
  • Profile content: your profile photo and records of your quest completions.
  • Usage analytics: anonymized usage events (PostHog, EU servers) and crash reports (Sentry) to improve the app.
  • Waitlist: if you join the waitlist on our website we store only your email address and language preference, used solely for the launch announcement.

How we use your data

  • To provide core app features (map, quests, points and badges),
  • To detect and fix bugs and improve the experience,
  • To email you about launch and major updates, if you opted in.

We do not sell your data or share it with ad networks.

Storage & security

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with access controls (row-level security). All transfers are encrypted with TLS.

To delete your account and associated data, or to access or correct your data, contact us at hello@getroams.com. Your rights under GDPR and applicable local laws are reserved.

Children’s privacy

Roam is not directed at children under 13.
